I mostly teach Introduction to Philosophy and Ethics and Society. However, I’ve taught logic, critical thinking, epistemology, and history of philosophy. I focus my teaching on students acquiring the ability to evaluate and communicate information. This means creating a classroom environment where students actively engage with the topics we are covering. I regularly use small groups and short in-class writing assignments to encourage student engagement. I use writing assignments to help students develop analytical and communication skills. I use prompts so writing assignments focus on developing and evaluating arguments. I also organize writing assignments so students can use the feedback I give them on the next assignment.
